DJ Just - Just a Jurassic 5 Tape auf Mixcloud

This Mixtape was recorded from Vinyl to Tape (2 x 30 minutes) in order to amuse us during a ride to a Jurassic 5 gig in Amsterdam in June 2014. It’s a selection of Jurassic 5 tracks across all their LPs and some extra gimmicks here and there.

It was a one and done - no Audacity editing, effects or anything like that. Straight Raw Cassette Shit.

I coincidentally found this email interview that we did with Fat Jon in March 2004. We were still running runnin.de, a HipHop mag with review, interviews and stuff.

Due to the fact that it’s pretty old, it’s not very interesting, but I wanted to preserve the Interview ;)

Just Dope Podcast#06 Late New Year’s Podcast featuring Dj Upset.

Each of Dj Just, Dope and Dj Upset recorded a 20-30 minutes part and then we merged them.

Dj Upset is currently working a LP that he records with his man Waes. Check Waes & Upset’s myspace.

New Beat: Blue + New EP to come!

Sun, 10 Dec 2006 00:01:05 +0000

We are planing to put together a new (online) EP. It will be focused on “banging” beats, that make you nod your head. We want to try if we can produce a collection of beats that are raw and have some energy. We will also browse our archives and check for some older beats that fit in that frame with some re-arrangment and new mixdowns…

If you want to support us with this project, let us know. It can be DJs, Beatsmiths, MCs whatever…

This Beat was produced by Just Dope featuring Chris on the keys. We met in Enschede in March ‘06 and recorded a nice jazzy interlude or whatever you want to call it. ..

Some weeks ago we recorded 10 minutes crazy drumming over a dirty jazz loop with an old fostex 4-track tape recorder. I trimmed it a little and now we have 2:20 left.

Dirty Drums over a Dirty Loop recorded Dirty. Enjoy.

Momenta is our first Download EP.
It is basically a collection of Beats that we produced between 2002 and 2005. We re-mixed some of them, because a few of the old ones were really ugly 😁
